Is this the one??
http://info.borland.com/devsupport/interbase/ib70_patch.html
InterBase 7.0 Server Edition patch
InterBase 7.0 Server Edition patch (Windows):
This patch fixes problems with sort/merge joins. If the join returned equivalence merge sets with common values that totalled more than 64KB, the result was spooled to a temporary file that had a prefix of "ib_merge". When the query finished, this file was not being properly closed and could cause a server crash if a query of this type was run over 26 times.
If no could you please send me a link to 7.1 patch?
Sorry if I got it wrong
Thanks again

Donny.

Do you know if the currently available 7.1 trial version has that
service pack already applied?

No, but the last I heard it was planned to release a new trial
with it applied. I have no idea what stage that plan is in or
if it is still the plan.

Yes, it does have the SP applied.
> NO, The trial does not have the service pack in it at this time.
I guess Bill was referring to the InterBase newsletter that I got on
December 4, 2003 too, and there it says the following:
InterBase 7.1 Trial
If you haven't tried InterBase 7.1 yet, you should. The currently posted
trial has all of the latest service pack updates. And those updates could
have easily rated another "point" on the release number. The latest service
pack alone adds all this:
-Improves stability when updating more than 10,000 records at a time
-Resolves index creation issues for large indexes
-Fixes server crash issues caused by memory leaks in the Windows system
driver
-Provides better error reporting and logging of SQL statement that caused
exceptions
-Avoids duplicate logging of network errors
-Faster and better query optimization for indexes that have multiple
segments
-Solves issues related to a large number of transactions, enabling prolonged
use of databases on read-only media
-Enhances performance for sort operations
So, now what? What does "latest service pack updates" mean?

Check the drive that the temp files are written to that a) the temp directory
exists and b) there is enough room on that drive for the temp files.

SP 2 is not available. Quinn only gave early announcment that
they were working on it. Expect it early next year in Q1 I
expect.
