problema ?
Desde ya muchas gracias.

1. Post in english.
2. Try the connection with other tool (such Access) to see if it is quicker.
I'm guess that the layer above ODBC (DAO, RDO or whatever midle software
used by VFP) is causing the delay. To test if is the ODBC it self try using
another tool (such Delphi/IBX) and measure connection time. If is only at
connection where you are having delay may be is because you are using DNS
name resolution.

Incidentally, there's no rule about this. You're less likely to get an
answer if you post in a language other than English, true, but I don't
want non-English speakers to feel unwelcome.

Thank you for that,

I sometimes write in french when I don't have time to translate.

That was my point but I didn't explain it.

Sorry, i´ve differents news in spanish, i traslate it to help me, and sorry
for my english ....

The title is: Visual Foxpro and Interbase, the war continue ...
Hello friends, i work with Interbase and VFoxPro, and the true is that the
result are very well, but ...
I work with remote view in VFoxPro, and connect to Interbase with a Driver
ODBC(EasySoft) the problem is that the conection is very slow, i wait 4
second to open a cursor or to open my form, do you know some idea about the
problem. This not ocurr with Access via ODBC or with a Test Buttom in the
ODBC Control Panel Configuration.

Thanks

Then, as I said, is the middle layer between VFP and the ODBC.
