The previous version of Together 2006 allowed installation into an
exising Eclipse environment, which was the right way to go. I have lots
of other Eclipse plug-ins, configuration and so forth in my Eclipse
environment, and to have to re-create all of that in the fresh install
of Eclipse required by Together is a major hassle.
I realize you had some problems with installing the last release into
existing Eclipse installations because you forgot to include some
plug-ins that Together required, but requiring a new Eclipse
installation is not the way to go. Your product is not the only Eclipse
plug-in that people use.
