Next month I'll upgrade my hardware...
So I'll reinstall everything (and also d6 personal) .
But how about the registration? How many times I can reinstal
everything? Do i need to Register l D6 again?
I have also a old portable (p133) I would like to install d6pe also on
it but it doesn't not have an internet connection so i could not
register from it...?
Bye

There is no limit.

If you don't want the unregistered message on the about and splash screens, yes.

Registration also give a toll free number you can call to register machines that
do not have an internet connection.

(Please do not email me directly unless asked. Thank You)
This sad little lizard told me that he was a brontosaurus on his mother's
side. I did not laugh; people who boast of ancestry often have little else
to sustain them. Humoring them costs nothing and ads to happiness in
a world in which happiness is in short supply. (RAH)

I have a similar problem in that I have Delphi 6 Pro installed on a LAN and
our IT dept are making heavy weather of the registration.
It has been installed, authorized and works correctly.

Can you please confirm that it will not eventually stop working if it is not
registered. I can put up with the occasional nag screen but I don't want a
nasty surprise one morning.

Thanks
Dave

No it will not stop working. The registration process in no way impeeds your
ability to use delphi if you choose not to register.

Thanks for that, much appreciated.
It is not that I choose not to, I can't. I hope that the IT dept will sort it
out eventually.

Cheers,
Dave

You do know you can register it using the toll free phone number right? You
don't have to have Internet access to register.

Yes but now I know it's not going to break I'll leave it to the IT department.
It's their job after all and they don't like users tinkering with anything.

Also I doubt if a US toll free number would work from here - 'though I
suppose Borland Deutschland might have an equivalent.

The toll free number is supposed to be good world wide.

24 hours a day? Manned with people speaking all languages? What happened to
the simple and comfortable option to fill in a registration card and send
it?

Regretfully,

I've the same Problem: D6 personal, German edition, - classroom-license
(15 Clients), installed in a w2k-network, all users have a personal
login-name. When someone starts the client-pc (under his own name) and
wants to use d6, he is asked to register. When i register d6 (under
administrator-login) and other users start, the "main registration"
doesn't keep alive: a new registration is asked. I think it's boring.

Thanks for help
