"Your system lacks the following pre-requisites required to install RAD Studio"

Hey folks, I'm attempting to reinstall RS2007 on a machine where I had
to uninstall it (at this point I don't even remember why I uninstalled
it, but it was to get around some mystery glitch. I really wish I
hadn't at this point). Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 is also on this
machine. Upon installation, I'm getting the following error:

Microsoft JSharp Runtime 2.0

I can't figure out why I'm getting this error, because I've got JSharp
installed in VS2005 and I had already had RadStudio running, to say
nothing of the fact that I can't for the life of me figure out why
JSharp would be a pre-requisite. Whatever... I hit "Next" and shortly
thereafter the RadStudio installer comes back with a message saying:

"JSharp Runtime 2.0 could not be installed. Please use Windows Update to
manually install this update on your system. RAD Studio Setup cannot
continue"

There are a couple of problems with this:

* JSharp isn't appearing anywhere in Windows Update, because even
Microsoft knows better than doing development on a proprietary VM that's
based of 1.2 of the Java Spec.

* JSharp isn't appearing in the "Add/Remove Programs" list, nor is it
appearing in the Add/Remove Windows components portion of the
aforementioned.

* JSharp DOES appear in VS2005, and I elected to install it and reboot
and all that jazz, but the RS installation is still whinging.

* I can't get InstallAware to generate a log or anything so I can
further diagnose the problem

Any ideas?
