If you are installing on Windows XP and your second
C++Builder 6 installation CD is not recognized, open Windows
Explorer, click on the icon of the CD-ROM drive containing
your installation disk, then continue your installation.
This action causes XP to refresh the drive and recognize the
"CD-changed" notification.
This does not work, is there ANY way to get this CD recognized. What good
is the new version if I can't even INSTALL it?????
Thanks
Aaron
What kind of error messages are you seeing? Are you able to hit OK to them
and continue installing?
I think I ran into a similar problem on my Windows XP machine at some point.
It might possibly be related to the version of the Microsoft Installer
originally on the machine. In my case, I just kept hitting OK to the error
messages, and eventually C++Builder 6 was able to install successfully. It
appeared to be a cosmetic issue and did not affect the actual installation.
