Hi,

I have a TXMLDocument which is initialised on a thread. When I assign XML
to it and try and make the component 'Active' I get the following error:

'Microsoft MSXML is not installed'

I have put the same code on a form and it works fine. I have tried putting
CoInitialize (nil) in the initialization section for the thread, or the
thread's create routine. Both without any luck.

This behaviour also happens when using IXMLDocument and NewXMLDocument.

Ultimately this code will be on a thread in a service application.

Any ideas??

This is probably a version conflict-- you may have MSXML 4.0 installed but
not 3.0. It only uses 3.0 because that was all that was available when D6
shipped. To add support for MSXML 4.0 include the unit by Martijn Houtman
available at :

Good Luck,
