Hey all,

Cant seem to figure this one out... Does anyone know the code to
simulate Ctrl-Alt-Del with Delphi in Win32? Maybe an Assembler
function?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Steven

An application is running in the context of the current user.
A 'Ctrl-Alt-Del' may change the user. What happens to the
application when the user changes ?
This applies to WinNT.

Sure if you logoff....but I just want to bring up the Task Manager.
That's all it does in NT. I just want the code to simulate
Ctrl-Alt-Delete. The application is irrelevant.

Can't you just start the task manager with ShellExecute? The program to
execute is taskmgr.exe.

Steven,

You're not being very clear in your request. What behavior are you
trying to get?

Here is some history that might help you understand. I have built a
software that let's you remotly control a PC over the web kind of like
PC ANYWHERE. I can do everything as if I was at that station
except....CTRL-ALT-DEL. Those keystrokes do not have any effect on the
remote pc when reproduced. I figure since ctrl-alt-del works in pretty
much all OS's it must be some kind of hardware interupt thing that
should be accessible through the Windows API. However my efforts to
find it has failed. Now failing doing this, I could always execute task
manager in Windows NT and that would do the trick...except that I don't
know the equivalent for the Close Programs Window in Windows 95.

Being able to execute task manager in NT and close programs in Windows
95 would be ok would be ok beacuse the end result would be tha same as
pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del.

Steven,

In NT, call TASKMGR.EXE. I don't know what to do it Win95.
