Need Help ! 1394-API

I want transmit Data between two PC's over Firewire.
I use (want use) the 1394api from Windows, but it isn't easy.

Have anybody infos or experience for this ?

There are two ways possibe to implement:
First: you let both 1394 devices work as a network adapters, so you can just use TCP or other network protocol to communicate over firewire. There are enough solutions how to build 1934 based LAN. You will probably can do it even beeing end user.

Second is much more complicated - you can implement own solution to use SBP2 (SCSI emulation) mode over 1394. This way is for the experienced developer. There are no free Windows API for SBP2, for linux it should not be a problem, but require some special knowledge.

Take care to select appropriate firewire cable. There are lot of different 1394 cables, and some of them will not work. Try to start with 6pin to 6pin with 3-5 pins cross-connected.
