Try Stefan Hoffmeister's TParser component, available from the Delphi Super
Page, or direct from the source: www.econos.de. I've been very pleased
with it; it is boasted as the fsted on the freeware market.

After all these years, there is finally a Math Parser component that supports Delphi development not only for Windows, OS X, Kylix and iOS and Android as well!! You may find TbcParser at http://www.mathparsers.com/formula-parser-for-delphi/ There are formula parsers for many languages at http://www.mathparsers.com/ C++, Java, Objective C, C#, Delphi, COM (vb 6 anyone?) are all covered by a suite of math parser libraries. Most of them support strictly mathematical formulas in the expression to parse. C# version supports strings in the expression as well. Users can define their own variables and user defined functions to use in the expressions.
