components disappearing from toolbar

Hi, I'm using D6 and when I intall certain VCLs, the "Standard",
"Additional", etc. components are deleted from the toolbar. I use the
"install new component" menu item in D6, and when the VCLs are installed, it
does not tell me that any components were removed. Any ideas? Thanks.

That's odd. They should not be removed by the installation of new
components. The only way to remove installed components is to actually
remove them from the installed packages or to remove the package itself.

Are the components installed although you can't see them on the tool bar?
Check Menu -> View|Component List. Some of the standard VCL components are
TButton, TMainMenu, TPopupMenu. Additional would be TPanel, TBevel...
