Some weeks ago the old web-server crashed (again) and Nevrona moved in the
last weeks the stuff to a new server with new apps and a newer design.
And now Nevrona Design can put all the power for the RTM-release of the new
Rave 8 version....

Newsgroups are back up.
As far as Rave 8, Thomas Pfeister mentioned in his Blog of 11 Jun that Rave
8 is "just around the corner", but a query from Chuck Todd on Nevrona's
newsgroup (nevrona.public.announce) looking for a Version 8 status update
has gone unanswered now for almost two weeks.
I'm starting to get pretty frustrated with this whole affair. Nevrona sent
out an e-mail in February claiming "We're happy to announce the release of
Rave Reports 8.0 in March, 2008", then offering a pre-order discount. Now
here we are in JULY and Nevrona aren't giving us any updates or answering
legitimate queries from end users. I paid for this upgrade back on March
4th, so they've been sitting on this money for almost five months.
A simple status update would be much appreciated.

The status of Nevrona is that we're still very much here but have been so
swamped recently it's been hard to keep communications up to where we should
and I apologize for that. As many of you know our main server took a dump a
while back and really threw us for a loop schedule wise. This server wasn't
just our website but also email, support system, databases, source code
control, newsgroups and several other hosted services. While all the data
was backed up converting to a new server using SQL Server 2005 instead of
SQL Server 2000 introduced many problems for the website software and
internal applications.
On top of that we were trying to keep productive on our Unicode conversion
and development of new features for Rave 8. We're starting to see the light
at the end of the tunnel and appreciate the patience of our customers as we
prepare for a release of a beta for Rave 8 in the first week of August if
not earlier. Thanks for your support, we should be back to normal here
soon.
