RAPWare is proud to announce the first public beta release of Easy MAPI V3.

MAPI is the massaging system used by Microsoft Outlook for email, contacts
and appointments etc. EasyMAPI is the highly acclaimed tool for accessing
MAPI messages using Borland Delphi. Easy MAPI V3 represents a major advance
over Easy MAPI V2.

Easy MAPI V3 has been redesigned from the ground up and is now even easier,
faster and generally superior. It is based on interfaces and reference
counted objects. This makes working with the various MAPI objects a whole
lot easier, but it also means you will have to learn to work with Easy MAPI
again. You will find the improved examples and helpfile very usefull while
doing this.

One of the really cool new features is the Mapi Form Manager. With this form
manager you can show existing messages, or create new messages (mail
messages, appointments, tasks etc..) by using the default MAPI forms in a
non-modal way.

In order to run Easy MAPI V3 side by side with Easy MAPI V2 (in the IDE),
you must upgrade your Easy MAPI V2 to V2.6.2.3 or higher. If you are
registered customer you can request the downloadlink for this version by
email.

If you have purchased an Easy MAPI V2 Professional or Enterprise version
after April 1, 2004 you wil get a free upgrade to Easy MAPI V3. In this case
you can request the downloadlink for an Easy MAPI V3 Professional or
Enterprise edition by email.

About Easy MAPI:

The Easy MAPI toolkit contains a set of wrapper components around the
Simple, Extended MAPI and WAB interfaces. With this toolkit you can add
Simple & Extended MAPI based messaging functionality to your application(s)
without having to understand the MAPI interfaces, C++ header files etc.

Since the Easy MAPI components also implement the Extended MAPI interfaces
you can use Easy MAPI to send EMails from within Windows NT Services and to
send EMails without the warning you get if you use Simple MAPI or CDO and
installed the Microsoft Security Update

Some features of Easy MAPI V3:
- Use the default MAPI forms to create, view and/or modify Outlook Messages,
Tasks, Notes etc.
- Browse Addressbook & Message containers
- Send Mail in RTF, Plain text and HTML format
- Send Mail from within Windows NT Services
- Send Mail without the Microsoft Security Update warning
- Implement MessageStore events (this way you can react to incoming mail)
- Edit, Delete & Create Mail Users & Distribution lists on the fly
- Create WAB enabled applications.
- Create, edit and/or delete Outlook Appointments, Contactitems,
Distributionlists, Tasks, Notes, Messages, Folders etc.

The best way to find out more about Easy MAPI V3 is to download and install
a trial version. The trial version contains several examples and a helpfile.
