I am trying to make my decision between two products, Absolute Database and
Accuracer, can anyone give me some feedback/suggestions of what they think.

Thanks

I have been using Accuracer for my hobby program Drivers Log
(www.StumpWare.com).

I picked it for the following reasons:

1) All tables are stored in one file).
2) Simple to use.
3) Good support.

If my application were mission critical or for business users, I would NOT
use Accuracer for the following reasons:

1) Slow.
2) Too many little breaks (bugs) between versions (this has caused me a LOT
of headaches).
3) Tables can become corruped if connection is broken during a transaction
(don't ask me how I know)!

I would recommend NexusDB if the application is for paying customers.

Happy Holidays,

Shane

Is there the any ADO or ODBC provider?
For example, could another developers (from VC or VB) have the standard
access to database?

Yes, both ODBC driver and ADO.NET Provider.

Hi Guy!

NexusDB Embedded version is free, the same as Firebird. I'm not too sure
about the latest Firebird version, but NexusDB embeds totally - that is, no
dll's to distribute, just the final application exe plus whatever tables you
need to deploy.

To be frank, Firebird has a richer SQL set than NexusDB V1. However, with
V2 currently in public beta, and planned to be in January, we have bridged
that gap completely. NexusDB V2 is 2003 SQL compliant.

Given the embedded version is free, and the manual is on the website for
download, why not grab yourself a copy and give it a try?

Free embedded version:
http://www.nexusdb.com/showpage.asp?id=122

Manual:
http://www.nexusdb.com/showpage.asp?id=19

And while you're over there, <g>, we'd love you to also get a copy of the
public beta of Version 2 and hammer away at that too... :)

Hope to see you there!

Kind regards,
Geoff Harris
Nexus Database Systems.

:))

Public beta 2 is now available via links below.

Most of the problems reported for beta 1 should be fixed. Note that if
you created test tables in v1, you should at a minimum restructure
them, best would be to create new ones due to some bad dictionary
creation code in EM.

New components: TnxMemTable, and TnxTransContext. The last one is used
when you want to have a transaction span multiple databases. Autoinc
engine has gotten settings for initial value and step value. SQL help
file now included in install.

Delphi 2005:

Delphi 7:

Delphi 6:
http://www.nexusdb.com/su.dll/34

Please use our news://news.nexusdb.com/nexusdb.beta.nxdb2 newsgroup to
report issues and discuss the Public Beta.

Tough choice. I opt for accuracer (better multiuser) . AD has a better support.
