Hello everyone,
Just wanted to let you know of a native Delphi component I wrote that
allows you to create and manipulate SPSS formatted data files (i.e. files
with '.sav' extensions). This component does NOT rely on SPSS itself, and
only requires an additional dll (included with the component, only 120 KB)
beyond the Delphi component. Plus, native Delphi means no ActiveX headaches!
The component, demos and a help file are included and are free! You can find

I have found this very useful. Thank you - I use it primarily for the txt file that lists all the meta data.
However, there seems to be a limit beyond which it can't load a sav file - I'm working with a sav file with about 24k fields.
I'll have so search for another solution for this. Pity because it very well written.
