I know I could hard code the directory, ("c:/..../...../..../.../.../...")
but that is not so portable.
I could also have a dialog ask every time I open the one and only file, but
that is not so slick.
Thanks in advance.
>I want to open a file that is in the current directory, i.e. "readme.html"
Um, how about "readme.html" ??
If it's in the current directory then
all you need is the filename.

Obviously it was obvious to you since you know
what you did or didn't try. I don't do ESP.
