I am having a hard time tracking down why from a TEdit box it takes two tab
clicks to set focus on a radio group that is only one tab stop away. Why is
this so?

What version of Delphi are you using?? In 4/UP2, I can't reproduce what you
are reporting. With a radio button checked, I tab immediately from the TEdit
to the selected button in the TRadioGroup. If not radiobutton is checked (not
a normal condition), the TRadioGroup is bypassed altogether.

I am using Delphi 4 (SP 2) and I the radio group has an ItemIndex of 0.
The tab stop of the radio group is 0.

Why do I need to tab twice before arriving on the radio group if the radio
group is the next tab stop.

I can't reproduce what you are reporting on my system. If the TabStop property
for the radio group is 0, what is the TabStop property for the TEdit??

It sounds like RadioGroup.TabStop has been set to True (default is
False).

As a matter of interest, the solution was that I had set the Tabstop
property of the radio group to True and therefore Delphi must have been
stopping on the radio group before entering and stopping on the items

Thanks for your help
