I'm trying to create two console applications that should return some system
information equivalent to those Linux "/proc" ones:
/proc/cpuinfo
/proc/meminfo
Below is the output created by each of them:
"/proc/cpuinfo":
processor : 0
vendor_id : GenuineIntel
cpu family : 6
model : 7
model name : Pentium III (Katmai)
stepping : 3
cpu MHz : 501.142285
cache size : 512 KB
fdiv_bug : no
hlt_bug : no
sep_bug : no
f00f_bug : no
coma_bug : no
fpu : yes
fpu_exception : yes
cpuid level : 2
wp : yes
flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 sep mtrr pge mca cmov
pat pse36 mmx osfxsr kni
bogomips : 499.71
"/proc/meminfo":
total: used: free: shared: buffers: cached:

MemShared: 9512 kB

SwapFree: 486576 kB
The objective is to use them as CGI's on a website that EXPECTS this sort of
output, piped into other scripts. Any idea on how to obtain this information
from the system in Pascal/Delphi?
Any help much appreciated!

JD,
search Win32 Programmer`s Reference help file for "Getting
Hardware Information" phrase.

So why are you asking in a Delphi group?
