While doing some testing in the IDE with Delphi I managed successfully but
not wanted to generated a Blue Screen.
either the system registry or HD must have been affected - but so far the
only
result is I can not run Delphi (7). _ get a dialog with the indicated
message.

What is the official and recommended solution to this - reinstall and
register over
the internet.?

'Borland license information was found, but it is not valid for Delphi.
You can not run Delphi without this information'

Thanks in advance.

Before uninstalling here are some things you can try:
* Run d7regclean.exe from the Borland\Delphi7\Bin directory. This will
purge some registry entries which could have possibly gotten corrupted.
* Go to your %USERPROFILE% directory and remove / rename the .borland
directory. Then, try running d7reg.exe to re-register.

If the issue persists, try posting a follow-up in the
borland.public.install.delphi newsgroup.

HTH.

WORKED.

I did run regClean first. Results are that I have to redo my custom VCLS,
but I was able to restart Delphi-register online and I'm up and running.

THANKS!

I am no borlander, but i recall that in the past the same issue was
also resolved by deleting regisrtry.slm in the .borland dir; not
needing to run regclean.
