Probably one of the most famous (beyond Delphi itself) is Toad, the Oracle
manager.

One of the most (in)famous would have to be the Sircam virus according to:

I'd have to say the Age of Wonder games, and/or Homesite the HTML editor.
O' course this excluded Delphi itself.

Most Famous one in terms of Download used to be JBuilder when it was first written
in Delphi.

Now the most famous one among the Delphi applications for the mass market is SpyBot.
Since I have no data, this is just my opinion, if anyone here disagrees please post
related links to show otherwise.

In Brazil, it's very simple: Our IRS program is developed in Delphi. And I
think the first version was around 1997 (not sure).

I would say at least tens of millions of installations until now... ;-)

Hi

I think that most programs on Download.com are written in Delphi, you can
see that when you find Delphi crHand cursor in about dialog, or when you
find some of popular Delphi components in this programs.

MicroDVD is delphi program, i think.

Boki

Another one in the running for this category would be the control program
for NASA's Pistol Grip Tool:

http://www.spaceref.com/shuttle/computer/spoc/PGT.html

Written in C++Builder, IIRC. Uses Async Professional. I worked quite a bit
with one of the engineers on that project to get it solid. Apparently,
astronauts get pretty cranky when things go wrong.

The PGT has been in service for years now, and is one of the primary tools
used by astronauts during EVAs.

When following the link, check out some of the other applications listed in
the left hand column.

I'd say that the odds are good that several of those are also written in
C++Builder.
