I recently bought Delphi 6. One of the many things I hoped for with
the new version was that Compiled HTML help files would be supported
(.chm) - however this does not seem to be the case.

This raises two questions.

1. Why has borland chosen not to support this Help file Standard?
2. What options do I have to integrate this into my application (thats
reliable),
including Context sensitive help.

Thanks

Toby allen.

Check out www.helpandmanual.com - not only is the software the best HTML
help editor available, they have a free component that helps you integrate
htmlhelp into your app.

There's a free kit available at:

http://www.helpware.net/delphi/delphi_and_hh.htm

It works quite well.

Go and download the free "UseHTMLHelp" unit from:

http://www.jgsoft.com/zips/UseHTMLHelp.zip

and include it in your USES clause, and set the Application.HelpFile
to your .CHM file - that's all there is!
