I'm converting a working RAD Studio 2007 Delphi Win32 app to RAD Studio 2007
Delphi.Net. When I set KeyPreview to True on the main form, I receive an
error "System.Security.Permissions.SecurityPermission". I am also receviing
errors when attempting to read an INI file. This error begins with "Request
for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissions.FileIOPermissions'".
What have I failed to do in the conversion?

Are you running the executable from your local machine (i.e. not over a
network)?

The source does reside on a Network drive and I'm running it from the Delphi
2007 IDE. Once installed, the program will reside on a local drive.

Although you can do that with Win32 no problem, you have more of a problem
with .NET. It sounds like your application does not have enough security to
access local files etc.- this could be a direct result of running it over
the network. You can adjust your local .NET security settings to give Full
Trust to your intranet, or you can copy your application locally and then
run it.

David,
Thank you so much. That was easy to fix on my development machine. I'll be
anxious to see what ramifications I will have when I build the installation
and distribute the product to my users.
