From Delphi4 to 7 or 8?

I'm about to rewrite a big part of some application written in
Delphi4. I've to chose which Delphi should I use now.
Some parts of the old version will be pasted into a new one so I'm
wondering if there is no problem with migrating (4->7 / 4>8).
Should I choose 7/8 or stay with 4 - I've got very short time for
develop the new version.
