TProgressBar is just a thin wrapper around the Win32 API progressbar
control, which does not support what you are asking for. You will have to
find a third-party progress bar that does custom drawing, or else make your
own.

procedure TForm1.Button1Click(Sender: TObject);
var
i: integer;
begin
progressbar1.Min := 0;
progressbar1.Max := 500;
progressbar1.Position := 500;
for i := 500 downto 0 do
begin
sleep(20);
if i mod 10 <= 0 then
progressbar1.Position := i;
end;
end;

end.

Thanks Mike,

This looks like we start out with 100% and dilate down to zero percent - Yes
? If so it still paints from left to right.

Sorry, Andrew -
Durn! It works on my box (D7) <g>. I don't know about later versions. Wonder who
fixed what?

Yes, that is exactly what it does.
