I run some perl scripts as well as a delphi 6 app on my web servers. They both use the libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll however I had to upgrade to openssl-0.9.7b for my perl scripts. Now the indy components are not working. Does anyone know what version of openssl the indy that comes with delphi 6 uses? Would upgrading to the newest indy help?

Thank you,

Doug

To my knowledge, the only version of OpenSSL supported in Indy is 0.9.6. But my knowledge is very limited on this topic.

The OpenSSL downloads are available on the Intellicom website (http://www.intelicom.si/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewdownload&cid=1).

But I see you've already been there.<g>

My guess is that 0.9.7 has changed something in the DLLs that the Indy import units do not understand.

I've cc:'d the Indy developers...

Indy not using 'openSSL'! Again, Indy not using standard OpenSSL!
What library using Indy? Indy using their own 'modified openSSL'.

It is very stupid from Indy guys, because their modified version of
OpenSSL have exactly same names as original OpenSSL libraries.

So, with Indy you can use only 'modified OpenSSL' what is pointed from
Indy. Any other versions of OpenSSL NOT WORKING with Indy.

For compare... Synapse library using standard OpenSSL and you cannot
have similar problems. You can get sources form openSSL, compile it by
self and result is allways usable with Synapse.
