But beware that computers may be behind local gateways / routers and
hence only have a LAN-IP address but still have access to the Internet.
For instance, if I run "ipconfig /all" it would seem as if I only have
one IP-address 192.168.xxx.xxx, but the header of this post should
display a different address, namely the address of our local router.
Technically, there is no difference between LAN-IP and Internet-IP.
Practically, you can check for the IP address to know if it is located on
your LAN or somewhere else (Internet or other LAN-WAN). You need to compare
your IP address and remote IP addressn masked by your NetMask to know if the
address is local or remote.
