Hi, I'm using the TIdMessage object to send emails from a Delphi 7
application. I would like these emails to send a read receipt to a
particular address and I'm using the ReceiptRecipient property to try to do
this. I'm not getting any errors but, when I open the emails in Outlook, the
return receipt is not sent. I've checked the options of the generated emails
and they have "Disposition-Notification-To: "kate" <k...@eortc.be>" in the
info in the "Internet headers:" field but somehow this info isn't
interpreted to mean "Request a read receipt...". Any ideas what I'm doing
wrong? Thanks!!
(I'm using Windows 2000, Delphi 7, MS Outlook 2002, exchange server 5.5)

Check your Outlook settings (in OE it's under Tools -> Options -> Receipts)
and make sure that Returning Read Receipts is not set to "Never".

Thanks for your reply. We don't have Outlook Express, only MS Outlook.
Could this be why it doesn't work? The read receipt feature works fine for
ordinary emails but not for emails generated using TIdMessage. When I check
the properties of the generated emails (by right clicking and choosing
"Options") the "Internet Headers" field does seem to contain the correct
information, i.e., the correct email address appears alongside
"Disposition-Notification-To:". It's just that MS Outlook doesn't seem to
do anything with this information. Any suggestions?
