I have problem that's been bugging me for some time and I was hoping that
someone on this forum would know how to solve it.
Ctrl-Shift-C has for some reason stopped working. When I press the key
combination absolutely nothing happens, no error messages, nothing. I have a
feeling that this is either a very simple thing to solve or a very hard one,
but I just can't figure it out.
Btw: I have tried to uninstall Delphi, manually clear all delphi related
registry fields and manually delete what was left of the Borland directory
but when I reinstalled it I still had the same problem.
Anyone have an idea what causes this?

bet you just started using ICQ. Got to the Preferences dialog and select the
Contact List|Shortcuts tab. Uncheck "Activate ICQ Keyboard Shortcuts" and the
problem should go away.

Perhaps I should try reinstalling ICQ and following your instructions
(stranger things have happened). :)
Btw: Thanks for the reply.

anything else running in the sys tray that might be grabbing keystrokes?
The only icon visible in the systray is the standard 'sound settings' icon.
I have also shut down everything non-essential running in the background
(I'm using Win2000).
To anyone viewing this thread:
Is there anyone who knows exactly which registry setting corresponds to the
Ctrl-Shift-C key combination. I found a suspicious key
(HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Borland\Delphi\5.0\Class Completion) and it is
empty on my system. If anyone could check the same registry key on their
system and tell me what it contains I would very much appreciate it.
Again, thanks for the input...

here's what I have there:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Borland\Delphi\5.0\Class Completion]
"Finish properties"="-1"
"Complete navigation"="-1"
"Add interface methods"="0"
Ciao, Mike

I'm beginning to think that my problem might have something to do with the
fact that I bought and installed Delphi 5 Standard after uninstalling Delphi
5
Professional. (I had to return the copy I had been assigned for a project).
I
naturally assumed that this class completion functionality would be present
in the Standard edition also.
Is there anyone out there with Delphi 5 Standard and functional class
completion
(Ctrl-Shift-C) or is Delphi 5 Standard simply lacking this functionality.
