With your problem project open, call up the Component->Install packages
dialog and verify that the Borland ADO DB package is in the list and
checked.
With a data module or form shown in the IDE designer, do you see a dbGo
category on the Tool Palette? If not, right-click on the palette and
select "Unhide button" from the context menu. Is the missing category
listed in the submenu?

Looks like you have not discovered the palettes filtering capabilies
yet. With the designer active, hit Ctrl-Alt-P or click on the funnel
symbol on top of the palette. Then simply type the start of the
component name, omitting the T, i.e. ado (case does not matter). The
keyboard shortcut even works when the tool palette is not visible...
Clicking the funnel does nothing for me (Delphi 2006)
