DBE to ADO

Hi,

I'm converting an application from BDE to ADO dbgo, and I'm running into a
dificulty, all string fields when edited and posted are padded right with
spaces to fill the total length of the field, that makes dbcombobox and
dblookupcombobox(with char keys) to malfunction:

For example I've a dbcombo box with items"One/Two/Three" and the fieldsize
is char(10) the field is posted as "One " and when I cmae back to that
record again the combo does not display the value even it is configured with
style 'csdropdownlist':
The same problem arises with dblookupcombobox with char keys.

Even if I simply drop a dbgrid when I edit a text field it has all the
spaces to fill the field total length and to edit I've to remove all that
extra space ant edit!!!

Can anyone help me!!
