Hi everyone,

Question: Why am I getting the error "Operation not applicable" when I
open a TClientDataset with many master-detail datasets? I have read Article
ID: 20661 http://community.borland.com/article/print/0,1772,20661,00.html
on the Borland community site, but it didn't make the solution clear. In
that explanation, I did not understand the statement: "In the Fields Editor,
define the structure of your detail table. " How do you do that?

Could anybody please explain how I can set up a master detail relationship
with more than 15 master-detail relationships and roughly 1200 fields
altogether? Is that even possible?

Thank you very much for your help,

Zoltan.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply and sorry about changing names....

No, I am NOT using aggregates. It is a simple, although large master detail
relationship on the server with on provider on the master query. The
clientdataset is connected through a TDCOMConnection. I can not activate
the clientdataset and I also can not add all fields through the field
editor.
