Hi there all.

I am currently working on a project and that involves a Midas (datasnap
nowadays I believe) over HTTP. I can't get this thing to work. Maybe
some of you have had this before or knows what I am doing wrong.

This is the situation:

In my test environment I have Win2000 Pro, IIS 5.0 (with httpsrvr.dll in
the script directory), a Delphi 6 Midas Server and a Delphi 6 Midas
Client. As long as I use DCOM as the connectionmethod everything works
fine. I retrieve the data and the works.... But as soon as I remove the
TDCOMConnection component and add a TWebConnection component it goes
wrong. I type in the URL (http://localhost/scripts/httpsrvr.dll). Then I
enter the Server name (I have also tried the GUID), no problem. Then I
chance the Connected property to True. And then nothing happens for a
long, long time. After several cups of coffee I get a connection timed-
out.

I think I did the server part ok, since that works perfectly with the
TDCOMConnection, but TWebConnection just doesn't do it for me.

Anyone knows what's going on?

Thanks in advance!
