Problem with special characters - Access -> ODBC -> BDE

Hello,

I have defined an ACCESS file as a ODBC source. When I import data via
the BDE from this ODBC source, all special characters (ASCII > 127) have
changed to characters with ASCII < 127
Is there any possibility to change the setting of the language or
character set? I could not find it, either in the Access file, nor in
the ODBC setting nor in the BDE settings.

The setting is in the Alias that you use to connect to the ODBC DSN
