out of process (executable) Active Document Server

Our current application has a new requirement that it needs to be able to be
an 'Active Document' server for other applications. Basically being able to
embed 'some of our applications interface' in another application
(container).
I did find a good example of creating an in-process server
(www.evocorp.com). But have been unable to get it to work as an executable.
Any hint on how to get this working would be appreciated. Any pointers to
tips, samples for delphi as well.
