I just migrated a program which uses client datasets through a SOAP
connection to C++ Builder 2007. When we right-click the TClientDataSet
objects and select "Fetch Params" we get an "invalid argument" error
message. I've seen discussions about OPToSOAPDomConv.pas in SOAPRTL.

Is there a patch for this problem being released soon? My project is dead in
the water and we've already taken enough heat in the past for using Builder
over Mcrosoft Visual Studio.

Hello Stephen,

There's a runtime update available at this location:

http://cc.codegear.com/Item/24535

But that runtime is based on the 2007 codebase... hence you probably already
have this.

Post the 2007 release there was a bug that was found that could affect
'Fetch Params'. It was introduced by fix made to the 2007 codebase for
another bug. You can find out more about the new bug in this thread:

http://tinyurl.com/23a57q

I've already checked in a fix for this and it should go out with the next
patch we post. The thread already describes how to remedy but I'm also happy
to email the updated runtime. Feel free to email me at bbabet @ borland dot
com.

Cheers,

Bruneau.
