I'm very much interested in starting out writing some Soap web services with
C++ Builder 2007.
Any good tutorials around?
Tks - Adrian.
C++Builder and Delphi use the same components for Web Services. So any
tutorial for Delphi (Win32/Native - not Delphi.NET) also applies to
C++Builder.
Most of the material that I'm aware of focuses on building WebServices
clients since that's the most common setup. It sounds like you want to build
WebServices. I did a little overview at the CodeGear Developer Days events
last year. You can playback the session from this URL:

If you can post some additional information, I'll be happy to expand. Like,
are you exposing an existing application as a WebService? Or will your
webservice have to adhere to an existing interface/WSDL?
Cheers,
Bruneau.
As you say, I am very much interested in creating my own web services; but
then also I will be writing clients for these and for other public services.
I'd just like to get to know the VCL framework for these and get cracking.
So far (though admittedly, I have only skimmed through the BCB 6 Manual re
web services), there isn't that much to help me.
If there are any good tutorials or books I can buy, that would be most
helpful.
Thanks - Adrian.

Several folks have written articles on the subject. See the papers of Deepak
here:

Most of this info might be Delphi focused but it's applicable to C++
(provided you can translate to C++) as the components are identical:

I'll try to find some more.
Cheers,
Bruneau.
That is most helpful! Thanks a lot for that - much appreciated.
Regards - Adrian.
