I just loaded a test version of new app on a computer that doesn't have
BDS or BCB6 installed. I get interesting errors telling me that I need
to put CC3270MT.DLL and BORLNDMM.DLL on the test computer. I've never
had to do that before. I have "Load with runtime packages" unchecked in
both the Project->Options and in Tools->Packages.

I find that BORLANDMM.DLL is where it's supposed to be in BDS/4.0/Bin.
CC3270MT.DLL is only found in Windows/System32. Is that correct, and
why do I need to put the two DLLs on the target machine? Shouldn't
these dlls be incorporated into my program?

Well, I found my boo-boo. Somehow the "Use dynamic RTL" box got
checked. I feel a bit dumb. While I'm at it, what does CW3230.DLL do.
All of my projects require it ... and nothing else. A friend just
sent me an executable that doesn't require the 3230 dll.

Under Linker uncheck Use dynamic RTL

If you use any DLL's or packages that themselves are dynamic linked, you
will still have a need for the dynamic RTL (cc3270mt.dll) and memory manager
(borlndmm.dll).
