Is the Embarcadero move going to be a good thing for C++ Builder? I always
got the feeling that RAD Studio was a bit forgotten... the IDE really could
use a lot of work and it would be nice to see somebody take this opportunity
to give it a good old fashioned auditing and a thorough testing, and work
out a lot of the stability issues. Not one-QC-report-at-a-time style, but
really sit down and make a priority out of getting RAD Studio up to par
again with some of the other IDE's around. I know Embarcadero is (was?)
mostly database technologies, and I'm a little concerned that they'll make
that end of things a higher priority, and let BCB continue rotting.
Personally I'd rather see RAD Studio 2008 be more of a rock solid IDE than
ship with a bunch of new VCL components.
Is there anything interesting on the C++ Builder front regarding the
changeover?

Second it would be nice in Tools ->Customize to be able to define what a
ctrl-> ctrl-< wrod skip ends on....currently it immutable...every
professional editor has this feature.
Third -- they should add a Cppbuilder.embarcadero newsgroup...they may
already have this but I haven't checked lately....

For specific enhancement requests like this, it's best if you file a QC
report. This isn't the place.
I am not talking about specific improvements. I am just wondering if anybody
knows if Embarcadero will be focusing on developing C++ Builder at all, or
if BCB is just some cruft that got dragged along with the rest of the
CodeGear products.
