What you describe works just fine for me when I use it in my own apps.

P.S. please do not cross-post. It is against Borland's newsgroup guidelines
(http://info.borland.com/newsgroups). Only post to the single most
appropriate group.
I even tried in code to set
WindowMenu = WinView;
in the
constructor, OnCreate, OnShow, OnActivate (all in parent form.)
I also tried searching google groups but to no avail.
Thank you for any help.

Any clue as to why it refuses to work for me? Possibly something mising from
my install?I also notice that when I open the menu maker for MainMenu and
right click, "Insert from Template" is grayed out. I'm wondering if this
could have anything to do with it?
If I have to reinstall, is it possibel just to install the missing file by
copying it from the cd or will the installer let me select it, what *it* is.
I ask because everytime I run install it resets the component tabs.

I was then able to Insert a Windows Menu Template. BUT, (after figuring this
out on my own with some trial and error), you need to either get rid of Show
and Hide Windows at the bottom, or add an item with just "-" for a caption
(separator) at the bottom. One way or another the last item must be a
seperator. It even works if the whole menu is just one seperator item. Child
windows are then automatically added (nicely numbered even) below that
bottom separator item.

Set AutoLineReduction to maManual for the window menu.
