Hello everyone,

I have a problem here that I hope someone has ran into before.

I have a multi-tier application... blablabla. Bottom line, the server app
connects to our Oracle 7 database with BDE. After a while (never the same
while might I add) we get an error #9473 in BDE: Insuficient memory for
this operation. This happens when the application tries to connect to the
database.

Happens: client opens DCOM connection to server, server instanciates an
object, database tries to open but then get error.

Server's CPU is sleeping, RAM is half empty. Huh?

We tried using the BDE Administrator but we got the same error,
"Insuficient memory for this operation". There's the problem.

But what can I do about it?

What will cause this error? How can I debug it? Will kicking my server
help? (no, that's a joke... :)

Help?... (that's my little puppy eyes asking for your experience)

If you are using the BDE release 5, you might want to go pay a visit to
the Inprise web site. I recall there were some configuration settings
you can change to alleviate this problem (if you are using BDE5). I do
not have the exact area to look under, but try the TI section first...
