I am trying to write a program for a Epson IR cash register terminal.
The examples are all written for Visual C++ and MFC, neither of which I
have used before. I'm using BCB4 and Windows 98.
The examples include several Activex controls to handle printing, pole
display, cash drawer, etc. but the methods seem to require different
parameters than their plain MFC counterparts. Has anybody been able to
convert these controls and used them in an application for this machine?
I'm mainly interested in printing to the integrated TM-88R thermal
printer. I have called Epson, and they say I should switch toVC. Your
assistance would be appreciated.

Install OPOS normally. Then boot builder and select Components...Import
ActiveX. Import the OPOS component you want (note: I had trouble
installing the receipt printer and cash drawer into a single package, so I'd
recommend putting each ActiveX control imported into it's own package).
Once that's done, the OPOS controls will be visible on the component
pallette (ActiveX page by default). Now just use them as normal. Hope this
helps
