Hello folks,

I am unable to install and run Turbo C++ Explorer 2006.
Although the bootstrap utility installed all the required
prerequisites, the installation ended with an error concerning
"regHelp".

At the very first lauch of the program, several messages stating:

1. acces violation at adress 51F515BE rtl100.bpl....
2. error with coreide100.bpl and so on

Thence, the program asked whether a certain module should not be
loaded in the future. I answered no, but the program terminated anyhow;
next time I answered yes, and now at the start I get a message about
an interface not registered (viz. {88487704-983C-4811-A96A-3DA723DD97AF})

The Borland Studio button in the task bar appears, but no window
whatsoever.

Any of you has a suggestion, fix?

I already tested the fix proposed on
http://qc.borland.com/wc/qcmain.aspx?d=25744 with no success.

Windows XP Service Pack 3 (Italian), with .NET Frameworks 1.1 (+SP), 2.0,
3.0, .NET SDK 1.1, Visual J# 1.1 run.time.

The new Turbo C++ is a derivative of C++ Builder so is covered in the C++
Builder groups, groups with the word 'cppbuilder' in their name. The Turbo
C++ covered here is the old, 16 bit version.

I would suggest asking in borland.public.install.cppbuilder.
