Upgrade BC++ 5.0 to 5.02

Hi:
If I get a copy of BC++ version 5.0, can I upgrade to 5.02 for free?
That is, I have a friend who has 5.02. If I buy version 5.0, does that
give me a legal license for 5.02; in which case can I legally use a
copy of my friend's 5.02 version?
