Resource Compiler Slow in Vista

I program in Borland BC++ 5.02 and have just moved on to Vista.
There have been several problems but I've managed to overcome them all
except for one.
When editing dialogs in the resource editor, it is extremely slow.
When I select multiple edit boxes (eg 10 of them) & move them
anywhere, it is painfully slow to re-draw them while they are moving.
In Windows XP you could move things around quite normally.
Is this a known problem or could it be due to a setting somewhere?
