Hi there,

I have downloaded various delphi examples (from the web and one from CodeCentral) showing how to use WMI. These all refer to WbemScripting_TLB. Now I know that the _tlb.pas file comes from importing an activeX component into Delphi.

What I can't work out is what component creates "WbemScripting_TLB". Can anyone assist or do they have a copy of WbemScripting_TLB.pas ??

I have tried Delphi 6/7 personal on Win2k and Win98 (with wmi installed). I have had a friend with Enterprise check and nothing seems to be obvious.

The file I downloaded from Code Central was called "19255_how_to_use_wmi_windows_management_instrumentation.zip".

thanks in advance

You can use TLibImp.exe on %WinDir%/system32/Wbem/WbemDisp.tlb
(not sure if TLibImp.exe is included in personal edition)

Great. Thanks VM.

No it wasn't in the personal edition, but that's why we have friends isn't :-)

Hey Borland. Why isn't this in the Personal Edition ???
