I have a Builder 5 application that I am running on Windows XP. For some
reason my MainForm likes to grab the focus from other windows that you try
to activate. Anyone have any clues as to what can be happening here?

For example, my builder built application is the active application. I then
go to the task bar and click on the dos prompt I have minimized. The DOS
prompt is active but my application pops to the front. The DOS prompt has
the focus because if you type, whatever shows up in the DOS window. However
it is just hidden by my application.

I have done some message tracing and I see that it sends and receives a
response to the WM_ACTIVATE message with the inactive parameter, but it
still manages to pop to the front of whatever window I try to activate.
That window is still focused (the title bar is in the active state), buy my
MainForm is on top and in an inactive state (the title bar is not active)

looking for anything to try if you have suggestions they would be much
appreciated as this is very annoying!
thanks,

Hello,

i have read tihis. I have also a C++Builder 5 installation under Windows XP
Sp2.
I have built a new Form with one Button and compiled this. No Error at this
point.

Can you try this: Built an empty Form with a button and test it.

If there are the same effects, please post it.
