Merging two CaliberRM Databases

Hi All,
What I am trying to do is to migrate my caliberRM database to another server ,the latter already exists and contains its set of projects , I experimented two ways of doing things
1. the RM Import/export tool but the inconvenience is that I lost the History and the dicussions.
2. backup and restore my DataBase in the new server, that seems a good solution , but I -Ideally- don't want to create a new database in the new server ,instead I wish to integrate my Database to the existing one
Did anybody encountre the same problem and so can give me some
hints how doing things
