Some of our requirements have short lists of information, which is simply
typed into the description field without any unusual formatting i.e.

Line 1
Line 2
Line 3
Line 4
Line 5
Line 6

However, when we run a report in Document Factory, the information is
displayed with extra spacing added to the formatting in the Word document
i.e.

Line 1

Line 2

Line 3
Line 4

Line 5
Line 6

The spacing seems to be inconsistently applied. It appears to be caused by
additional whitespace being created above and below the line, rather than a
line break being inserted.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? How have you resolved it?

we encountered the same error here with our updated database. Support case with borland (557779) has been opened and we'll see what happens.

sorry I can't be of anymore help at the moment... but we haven't found a solution/workaround yet.

Best regards,

I have had similar expereince. The way I work around it is to post porcess the entire word document applying a style format to the list. There are several 'syles' supplied by Mircosoft. Look at the formatting of the list 'style' and make sure the paragraph setting are 'spacing=auto' and check the "don't apply spce between the same style options". AS much of a pain as it is it does work for me. I wich doc factory would do a better job of formatting the documents. Including the 'sytle formats' in word. Hope this helps.
