Hello,

Sorry if my questions are too silly.

- I have had written simple corba applications in Java using jdk's own idlj.

- Now I have created a same Java Clinet and Server using visibroker
libraries. (vbjorb.jar, lm.jar, sanct6.jar)

My Questions:

1- I have not even run visibroker services but client and server can
connect to each other. How is it possible without running a jdk like
"orbd" service? (I used to run it in JDK)

Is this being taken care by server.ior file?

2- How is this different from pure JDK's own corba implementation?
Specially that this needs the expensive visibroker license?

3- I run visibroker services and admin console and then my server and
clinet programs. Should I see any entry regarding my programs (server
for example) in admin console?

Regards,
Mac

Yes, the server.ior file contains the object reference to the server, no
matter where it might be located.

VisiBroker includes a discovery service (the OS agent), SSL, failover and
load balancing, and many other enterprise-class options.

Yes, though it's been long enough since I used VisiBroker that I can't
remember exactly where. Look for it under the Smart Agents, I think.
