Hi,

I've just upgraded to microsoft visual studio 2003 from visual studio v6.0 and I'm trying to build the basic demo. It complains about unresolved symbols like _bind_to_object(...) at link time.

I'm thinking that I need to upgrade my version of visibroker. Can anybody tell me if I can compile my code using "microsoft visual studio 2003" . We are running visibroker version 4.5

Can anybody tell me where I can find this informatio from the borland website (i.e what version of vbroker is compatible with what version of visual studio with what patches etc)... it seems I have to go thru one of their (car) sales reps to get this kind of info.... not something I wanna do. :)

thanks

Graham

The unresolved symbol message is due to one of two things. The obvious
one is that you're not linking to the right library. Check your library
settings and make sure that the appropriate VisiBroker .lib files are
included.

The other possibility is that you're compiling C functions in C++ and the
names are getting mangled. The solution to that is to ensure that the
VisiBroker C-based header files are wrapped as follows:

extern "C" {
#include <header.h>
}
